Upper Primary School (Grade 4 – Grade 6)
Developing confidence, responsibility and academic excellence!

Upper Primary at St. Bakhita Academy builds on the foundations laid in Lower Primary, guiding learners to become independent, confident and responsible learners. The programme balances academic rigour with creativity, values and life skills development.

Learners are encouraged to think critically, communicate effectively and take ownership of their learning.

Deepening Knowledge & Skills

Under the CBC framework, learners explore subjects in greater depth while developing higher-order thinking skills. Learning experiences emphasize problem-solving, inquiry, research and collaboration.

Teachers connect learning to real-world situations, helping learners understand the relevance and application of knowledge beyond the classroom.

Project-Based & Practical Learning

Upper Primary learners engage in projects, presentations and practical activities that promote creativity, teamwork and innovation. These experiences allow learners to apply skills across multiple learning areas.

Assessment includes observations, projects and performance tasks that reflect learner progress holistically.

Preparation for Junior Secondary

As learners approach the end of Upper Primary, focus is placed on academic readiness, personal responsibility and career awareness. Learners are guided to discover their strengths, interests and talents as they prepare for the transition to Junior Secondary School.

Values & Character Formation

Strong moral values, discipline and leadership skills are nurtured throughout Upper Primary, supporting the holistic development of each learner.
